RE: APPROVEACCEPTANCEOF DONATION OF$5,000 TO THE FAMILY EDUCATIONAL
NETWORK OF WELD COUNTY,MIGRANT/SEASONALHEADSTART PROGRAM,BY
DR. DEBORAH LENAHAN
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,Dr. Deborah Lenahan, 1000 Wellington Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado
81501,has donated$5,000.00 to the Family Educational Network of Weld County, Migrant/Seasonal
Head Start Program, located in Grand Junction, Colorado and
WHEREAS,it is the policy of Weld County to formally accept all donations via Resolution.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the donation of $5,000.00 by Dr. Deborah Lenahan be, and hereby is,
accepted and designated for use by the Family Educational Network of Weld County,
Migrant/Seasonal Head Start Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that a copy of this Resolution, along with a
letter of appreciation, be forwarded to Dr. Deborah Lenahan.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 4th day of October, A.D., 2006.

Attached is a donation of$5,000.00 from Dr. Deborah Lenahan. The funds are to help cover any
medical expenses FENWC incurs for uninsured migrant children at the Grand Junction Center. Will
you please deposit the funds in our donations account.
I would appreciate it if Fiscal could track medical expenditures for children from Grand Junction when
we reach the end of 2006 and then send her a letter about how the funds were expended, i.e.,4
children received dental work, 6 children were provided with special equipment, etc. I would like a copy
of the letter as well for my records.
