RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON 28TH AVENUE AT F
STREET
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the Board
that a Stop sign and a 20 Miles Per Hour sign be installed on 28th Avenue at F Street, to ensure
safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic control device is necessary for the
protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado,that the Department of Public Works be,and hereby is, directed to install a Stop
sign on 28th Avenue at F STREET,for the safety of the general public, and said sign shall conform
to the State Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 17th day of July, A.D., 2006.

SUBJECT: Speed Limit & Stop Sign/Pulliam Subdivision
COLORADO
County crews have been working on the roadways inside Pulliam Subdivision as the
County has maintenance on the internal roads. Pulliam Sub is located on 28`h St., north of
"F" St., just west of 25th Ave. (See attached map)
It was brought to my attention by our crews that there is no speed limit posted within the
subdivision nor is 28th St. controlled as is intersects with "F" St. I have visited the site and
looked into accident records for this intersection. I can find no record of accidents within
the past three years.
It is my recommendation to place a Stop Sign (R1-1, 30"x30") on 28th St. at the
intersection with "F" St. I also recommend that a 20 MPH Speed Limit sign (R2-1, 24"x30") •
be installed at the entrance into the subdivision. In my opinion, the narrow roadways and
on street parking does not permit safe travel at the prima fade residential 30 mph speed
limit.
