HomeMy WebLinkAbout20060181.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ACCEPT TWO QUIT CLAIM DEEDS FROM THEODOR BLEHM AND BLEHM LAND AND CATTLE COMPANY WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with two Quit Claim Deeds from Theodor Blehm and Blehm Land and Cattle Company to the County of Weld, State of Colorado,by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,with said properties being part of the SE1/4SE1/4 of Section 24, Township 5 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,the Director of Finance and Administration and the County Attorney recommend acceptance of said deeds, and WHEREAS,after review, the Board deems it advisable to accept said deeds, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,Colorado,that the two Quit Claim Deeds from Theodor Blehm and Blehm Land and Cattle Company to the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, be, and hereby are, approved. RT1 Keytesville, MO 65261-9803 Re: Property Located in Weld County, Colorado; Parcel Number 095724000029 Dear Mr. Blehm: I was asked by Don Warden, Weld County Director of Finance and Administration,to send to you quit claim deeds necessary to transfer ownership to Weld County of a parcel of land for which two Tax Sale Certificates are outstanding. Those quit claim deeds are enclosed. It is my understanding that you desire to deed the property to Weld County so as to avoid further billing of the taxes. Also enclosed is a copy of an e-mail dated December 6, 2005, from Joyce Miller to Mr. Warden which includes all of the pertinent information regarding the property. Please note that there are two quit claim deeds enclosed, one transferring property from Blehm Land & Cattle Co. to Weld County, and the other from you personally to the County. The deed from you to the County is necessary, because I am unable to identify Blehm Land & Cattle Co. as the sole owner. The only other possible owner is yourself. Please sign the enclosed deeds, have them acknowledged, and send them to me at: P.O. Box 758, 915 10th Street, Greeley, CO 80632. I will then have the deeds recorded and the property will be taken off the tax rolls and the taxes no longer billed to you.
