MP 11-0285-11 U.S. 285 EAST OF CONIFER
The Department's Division of Highways accepted three bids at the October
4 opening for a combined project to improve a mile and a half of U.S. 285 east
of Conifer. The project includes grading, structures, stabilization, paving,
striping, seeding and mulching; it begins 4.5 miles northeast of the community
and extends northeast.
Kiewit Western Company of Littleton submitted an apparently successful
bid of $1,061,851 on the project, which requires completion within 120 working
days.
R. R. Hirschfeld of Golden is resident engineer.

MP 47-0025-03 LARKSPUR REST AREA ON I-25
Replacing two comfort station roofs at the Larkspur Rest Area on
Interstate 25 drew three bidders at the Division of Highways October 4 opening.
The site is 11.3 miles south of Castle Rock.
An apparently successful bid of $32,750 was received from Koga Engineering &
Construction, Inc. of Lakewood.
Resident engineer is Wayne Nesbitt of Aurora; the project requires completion
within 30 workable days following the Notice to Proceed.

C 18-0187-01 S.H. 187 IN DELTA COUNTY
Grand Construction Company of Littleton submitted an apparently successful
bid of $236,025 at the Division of Highways October 4 opening to rehabilitate
a S.H. 187 bridge over the north fork of the Gunnison River in Delta county. The
stub route connects Paonia to S.H. 133.
Five firms turned in bids on the project, which includes grading and hot
bituminous paving. The project is scheduled to be completed within 25 working
days.

IR 70-1 (92) LOMA PORT OF ENTRY, 1-70
The Division of Highways accepted two bids at the October 4 opening for
a re-advertised Set-Aside project which will build a Loma Port of Entry on
Interstate 70. Bidding was open to certified, prequalified minority business
enterprises only.
Located 13.8 miles east of the Colorado/Utah state line and extending
1.2 miles easterly, the project includes grading, structures, stabilization,
paving, lighting, signals, and the port of entry buildings and scales. The
project requires completion within 90 working days.
Resident engineer is Bill Nelson of Grand Junction. An apparently
successful bid of $1,193,306 was received from M G Concrete, Inc, of Pueblo,

C 24-0013-25 S.H. 13 NORTH OF RIFLE
Resident engineer J. E. Hanson of Glenwood Springs will coordinate a
project to resurface S.H. 13 north of Rifle, following Division of Highways October
4 bid openings.
A project which begins 2.8 miles north of the community extends 10.6 miles
northerly. It consists of hot bituminous pavement overlay.
Seven firms submitted offers on the project, which is scheduled for com-
pletion within thirty workable days following the Notice to Proceed, Corn
Paving Company of Grand Junction turned to an apparently successful bid of
$499,287.

C 42-0013-45 S.H. 13 SOUTH OF CRAIG
A seal coat and cover coat project for S.H. 13 south of Craig drew six
bidders at the Division of Highways October 4 opening. Scheduled for completion
within 15 working days, the project begins 1.6 miles south of the community and
extends 14.2 miles south.
An apparently successful bid of $201,314 was received from Blue Top Enter-
prises, Inc. of Steamboat Springs.

C 42-0013-46 S.H. 13 NORTH OF CRAIG
Elam Construction, Inc. of Grand Junction submitted an apparently
successful bid of $433,018 at the Division of Highways October 4 opening for
pavement overlay on S.H. 13 north of Craig. The project, which begins a mile
north of the community and extends 6.7 miles north, drew six bids.
Under coordination of resident engineer D. C. Pyle of Craig, the project
requires completion within twenty workable days.

IR 225-4 (32) 1-225 NORTHBOUND RAMP METERING
Developing ramp metering for northbound Interstate 225 in Adams and Arapahoe
counties drew five bidders at the Division of Highways October 4 opening. A
comprehensive project begins half a mile north of Colfax Avenue in Aurora and
extends 61 miles southerly to Parker Road. Northbound on-ramps at Iliff, Mississippi,
6th and Colfax Avenues are to be signalized to meter traffic; work elements include
grading, structures, a bridge, stabilization, concrete and bituminous paving,
signing, striping, topsoil, seeding, mulching, and signals.
Mountain States Paving, Inc. of Broomfield submitted an apparently success-
ful bid of $1,325,859 on the project, which is scheduled for completion within
180 workable days.
Resident engineer is Bernie Paiz of Aurora.

limits of Sterling and extending 0.677 mile easterly to S.H. 61; beginning 1.5
miles west of Sterling and extending 1,828 miles easterly, C 13-0006-06 and
C 13-0014-23, in Logan county.
Nov: 1: 9:30 a.m„ Bikepath in Denver, consisting of concrete,
curb and gutter, grading, structures, hot bituminous pavement overlay, seeding
and mulching, located on South Yosemite Street, beginning at Syracuse and extend-
