RE: GRANT REQUEST TO PREADVERTISESITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND
AMENDED USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT #1508 - LONGMONT
BROADCASTING, LLC
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Longmont Broadcasting, LLC,
P.O. Box 753,Wheat Ridge,Colorado 80034,do The Bell 5 Land Company,Attn: Kirk Goble,710
11th Avenue,Suite 107,Greeley,Colorado,80631,for preadvertisement of an application fora Site
Specific Development Plan and Amended Use by Special Review Permit #1508 for two
communication transmission towers (two guyed broadcast towers approximately 1,459 feet, an
increase from the previously approved height of 1,180 feet, with support buildings) in the A
(Agricultural) Zone District, and
WHEREAS,said property is described as Lot B of Recorded Exemption#3507; being part
of the N1/2 of Section 33, Township 2 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS,after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,with
the hearing date to be set as November 15, 2006, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request from Longmont Broadcasting, LLC, do The Bell 5 Land
Company,Attn: Kirk Goble,for preadvertisement of an application for a Site Specific Development
Plan and Amended Use by Special Review Permit#1508 for two communication transmission
towers (two guyed broadcast towers approximately 1,459 feet, an increase from the previously
approved height of 1,180 feet, with support buildings) in the A(Agricultural)Zone District be, and
hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said request
be, and hereby is, set as November 15, 2006, at 10:00 a.m.

SUBJECT: Pre-Advertisement request for AMUSR-1508
Longmont Broadcasting, LLC, the applicants for AMUSR-1508 are requesting a pre-
advertisement in order to meet their construction deadlines for this project. The applicants are
proposing to extend the height of a broadcast tower facility (two broadcast towers) originally
approved under USR-1508.
The requested hearing date based on the applicant's schedule is November 15, 2006. The
Department of Planning Services is in support of this request.

This letter is submitted concurrent with the above captioned application for
Amended Use by Special Review USR-1508. This is a formal request for pre-
advertisement of this case in order to expedite the process for the applicant.
This request is made in order to meet anticipated construction deadlines before
the winter months. The request is also based on the fact that this is an
application for a simple amendment to tower height, thus the vast majority of
issues addressed in a full application have already been dealt with. There has
been very little input or public testimony in past hearings and referrals for the
original application and approval. We do not anticipate any changes or issues
arising from Planning Commission that would constitute changes affecting
advertising and public notice.
The applicant would be very appreciative of your approval of this request so the
project can move forward smoothly. I have included the $100 fee for this request
with the application fee for the amended USR.
