The applicants are proposing to extend the height of a broadcast tower facility (two broadcast towers) originally approved under USR-1508. The requested hearing date based on the applicant's schedule is November 15, 2006. The Department of Planning Services is in support of this request. This is a formal request for pre- advertisement of this case in order to expedite the process for the applicant. This request is made in order to meet anticipated construction deadlines before the winter months. The request is also based on the fact that this is an application for a simple amendment to tower height, thus the vast majority of issues addressed in a full application have already been dealt with. There has been very little input or public testimony in past hearings and referrals for the original application and approval. We do not anticipate any changes or issues arising from Planning Commission that would constitute changes affecting advertising and public notice. The applicant would be very appreciative of your approval of this request so the project can move forward smoothly.
