RE: AFFIRMATION OF GRIEVANCE BOARD DECISION OF MAY 30, 2006, REGARDING
AGGREY SAWUKA
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 3-4-70 of the Weld County Code,the Board has received
an appeal of the Grievance Board decision of May 30, 2006, regarding Aggrey Sawuka, and
WHEREAS,said appeal was received in a timely manner and was properly filed, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners, having reviewed the Findings of Fact and
decision of the Grievance Board,the request for an appeal from Aggrey Sawuka,the response to
Mr. Sawuka's appeal of the Findings of Fact and decision of the Grievance Board (memorandum
brief submitted by the County Attorney's Office), and Section 3-4-70 of the Weld County Code,
deems it advisable to affirm the May 30, 2006, decision of the Grievance Board.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Grievance Board decision of May 30, 2006, regarding Aggrey Sawuka
was not wrong or in excess of the Grievance Board's jurisdiction,authority, purposes,or limitations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the decision of the Grievance Board be,
and hereby is, affirmed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that, to maintain the confidentiality of this
personnel matter, the Clerk to the Board be, and hereby is, directed to return the above listed
documents to the Personnel Department.
