RE: APPROVE SERVICE ENHANCEMENT REQUEST NO. 2007-01 FOR SUPPLEMENTAL
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -ACS GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Service Enhancement Request No.
2007-01 for Supplemental Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,and ACS Government Systems, Inc.,
commencing January 1, 2007, and ending December 31, 2008, with further terms and conditions
being as stated in said agreement, and
WHEREAS,after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said agreement, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Service Enhancement Request No. 2007-01 for Supplemental Services
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County,and ACS Government Systems,Inc., be,and hereby is,approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 18th day of December, A.D., 2006.

Related Agreement: Master OnSite Services Agreement between Weld County and ACS Government
Systems, Inc. (ACS)dated November 1993
All terms defined in the Agreement and its amendments shall have the same meaning ascribed to them
therein when used in this Service Enhancement Request. Pursuant to Section 2.2 of the Agreement,
Client hereby requests that ACS perform the Supplemental Services described below. The parties
acknowledge that any Supplemental Services to be performed pursuant to this Service Enhancement
Request shall be performed under the terms and conditions of the Agreement. In addition, unless
otherwise set forth below, any payments to be made by Client to ACS under this Service Enhancement
Request shall be made pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Agreement. The amounts to be paid by
Client to ACS under this Service Enhancement Request shall be in addition to any other amounts which
Client is obligated to pay to ACS under the Agreement.
Description of Supplemental Services:
Weld County owns about 40 major software systems, including Banner Finance, PeopleSoft
Payroll and HR, Great Plains Financial, AIMS+,TIMS, TeleStaff, CRIS+, and Accela Land
Management. All of the county systems require on-going support,maintenance,patches and
upgrades. Additionally, database security is an ever greater item of concern. This ongoing
support and maintenance requires more and more staff time for technicians who specialize in
database management. We currently have one full time DBA devoted to these tasks. Because of
the critical nature of these systems, it has become necessary to provide a second DBA to share
this load and to provide backup to this position.
ACS will provide one additional FTE with the skills necessary to Manage, support, and maintain
Oracle and SQL databases for Weld County depaitalents.
This Service Enhancement Request will be effective January 1, 2007, with charges prorated based
on the actual start date of the individual filling the position. The SER will be coterminous with
the master agreement dated November 1993.

Payment
The additional amount to be paid by the Client to ACS under this Service Enhancement Request
will contain a fixed 4% COLA, which will be applied each year effective on January 1 of each
contract year. ACS will submit an invoice to the Client on a monthly basis beginning in January
2006 in twelve equal monthly payments based on the annual payment schedule listed below.
