RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY,ANDAUTHORIZESALE
OF SAME TO SUNNY COMMUNICATIONS, INC.
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of be
declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS,the County has determined that certain equipment, described as outdated
vehicular radios and unserviceable walkie talkies, is no longer required for County use, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a quote for purchase of said equipment for,
and in consideration of,the sum of$6,600.00 from Sunny Communications, Inc.,4955 Peoria Street
North, Denver, Colorado, 80239, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, and
WHEREAS,the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and approve
said purchase quote.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the purchase quote of said equipment from
Sunny Communications, Inc. in the amount of$6,600.00, be, and hereby is, approved.

COLORADO SUBJECT: Recommendation to Surplus and Dispose adio
Equipment
The Public Works Department has finished fielding the new 800mhz system department wide and has
removed and disassembled the prior radio network from all vehicles and offices to include the motor
pool.
I request permission to surplus all vehicular radios (186) and assorted, outdated and unserviceable
walkie talkies assigned to the department.
Also, request permission to receive and approve a Quote for Purchase of surplus equipment from
Sunny Communications, Denver, Colorado. They are the only known used communications dealer
and come recommended by the Wireless Advanced Communications, the county communications
vendor.
