The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, April 3, 2006, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Chair
Commissioner David E. Long, Pro-Tem
Commissioner William H. Jerke
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jenny VanEgdom
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
MINUTES: Commissioner Vaad moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of March 29, 2006, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval
by the Board in the amount of $118,481.20. Commissioner Long moved to approve the warrants as
presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Vaad seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER PURCHASE OF SERVICE CONTRACT FOR MULTI-SYSTEMIC THERAPY PROGRAM AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-NORTH RANGE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: Judy Griego, Director of Social
Services, stated North Range Behavioral Health will provide services for 33 child welfare families as an
alternative to residential care,fora term of June 1,2006,through May 31, 2007. She stated the Department
will reimburse North Range Behavioral Health $1,550.00 per month, per family, for a total not to exceed
$204,640.00. Commissioner Long moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign.
Seconded by Commissioner Jerke, the motion carried unanimously.

CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES ANDAUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-
JON GARSON: Ms.Griego stated Mr.Garson will provide psychological services to children and families
involved in the Child Welfare System,for a term of January 1,2006,through May 31,2006. She stated the
Department will reimburse Mr. Garson according to the agreement's fee schedule. Commissioner Vaad
moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Long,the
motion carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by
the Acting Clerk to the Board.
There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
