RE: APPROVE PETITION FOR ABATEMENT OR REFUND OF TAXES-AA WHOLESALE
STORAGE, LLC, AND REDWOOD, LLC
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at a
duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 11th day of December,2006,at which meeting
there were present the following members: Chair M.J.Geile,and Commissioners William H.Jerke,
David E. Long, and Robert D. Masden, with Commissioner Glenn Vaad being excused, and
WHEREAS,notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present has been given to the
taxpayer and the Assessor of said County, and said Assessor, Stan Sessions, being represented
by Mike Sampson, and taxpayer AA Wholesale Storage, LLC, and Redwood, LLC, not being
present, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners have carefully considered the attached
petition, and are fully advised in relation thereto.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Board concurs with the recommendation of the assessor and the petition
be and hereby is, approved, and an abatement or refund be allowed as follows:

RE: Lots 7& 8, Meadowview at West T-Bone Replat;Tract 3 Block 5,West T-Bone,First Filing,City of
Greeley, Weld County, State of Colorado.
Dear Phyllis:
Please reclassify our above property in the city limits of Greeley agricultural. We have owned this property
for over ten years and in these ten years it has always maintained its agricultural use. Due to our re-platting
of this property last year it is now classified as non agricultural which is incorrect. Back in 2003 you can
see an invoice where we bought a semi load of alfalfa of which part of this was given to Mike Wiedeman of
Greeley, Colorado to seed our acreage in the West T-Bone subdivision.
Enclosed is a copy of the receipt for the Alfalfa as well as a copy of the custom farming bill paid to Mike
Wiedeman for services for 2003 and 2004.
Due to the extremely dry conditions of the last 3-4 years and the fact that we are farming in a subdivision,
we have used extremely conservative farming techniques to prevent our farm ground from blowing into
residential homes. In fact, in 2002 we had to pay to have a neighbors front lawn repaired because of
considerable dirt blown into their yard.
As it stands now the alfalfa that we seeded in 2003 is not taking hold as we would like and we have about a
15-20%stand of alfalfa. We have been mowing the field so the alfalfa can get established instead of
spraying and having potential liability from chemical drift.
Some time in early 2006 as soon as we get adequate moisture our plan is to reseed our alfalfa so we can get
good hay established. Bottom line is that we have been trying to farm this in a conservative manner to try
and please the neighbors and establish our cash crop of alfalfa. I have been told by Mike Wiedeman that
there is a chance that maybe this summer we can get some production off the ground but due to extremely
dry circumstances we are going with the reseeding method until we can get a good stand of hay established.
