HomeMy WebLinkAbout841289.tiff HEARING CERTIFICATION DOCKET NO. 84-79 RE: IDRB, 1623 Joint Venture Limited A public hearing was conducted on December 5, 1984, at 10:30 A.M. , with the following present: Commissioner Norman Carlson, Chairman - Excused Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Pro-Tem Commissioner Gene Brantner Commissioner Chuck Carlson Commissioner John Martin Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Debbie Campbell County Attorney, Thomas 0. David Director of Finance, Don Warden The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 19, 1984, and duly published November 21, 1984, in the La Salle Leader, a public hearing was conducted to consider the adoption of an Inducement Resolution for the issuance of Industrial Development Revenue Bonds in the amount of $6,600,000 for 1623 Joint Venture Limited. Don Warden, Director of Finance, explained this proposal to the Board and recommended passage of the Inducement Resolution, stating that this proposal would be a 1985 allocation of bonds. Robert Lewis, First Interstate Bank of Denver, representing the applicant, came forward to further explain this proposal. John Todd, one of the applicants, also came forward and explained the economic opportunities this project would bring to the City of Greeley. Kim Houtchens, Attorney representing some of the area residents, came forward to explain their opposition to this proposed project and stated that a complaint has been filed concerning the construction of the building. Les Brumley and Clifford Dean, two area residents, also came forward to speak in opposition stating that they felt the project site was not an appropriate location in the City. Mr. Todd came forward to make further comments. Commissioner C. Carlson moved to approve the Inducement Resolution for the issuance of the Industrial Development Revenue Bonds, in the amount $6,600,000, for 1623 Joint Venture Limited. Commissioner Brantner seconded the motion and made comments concerning the economic benefits. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
