RE: APPROVE ASSIGNMENT OF TAX SALE CERTIFICATE TO TOWN OF SEVERANCE,
COLORADO
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board now is the owner of Tax Sale Certificate No. 816/03, which applies
to property described as"Bike Path"in the Second Replat of the Franklins Addition to the Town of
Severance, Weld County, Colorado, and is for the value of the 2003 taxes, with interest, and
WHEREAS, ownership of the Bike Path was originally intended to be transferred to
Severance, and
WHEREAS,Severance now desires to purchase the Tax Sale Certificate for the sum of
$10.00 so it may gain local control of the Bike Path.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer be and hereby is directed to prepare Tax Sale
Certificate No. 816/03 for assignment to the the Town of Severance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized to sign
said assignment, if necessary, and any other associated necessary documentation to affect said
assignment.
