RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING LETTER OF AGREEMENT FOR COUNTY
EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERS
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a Letter of Agreement for County Employee
Volunteers from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Department of Public Health and
Environment, to authorize the usage of personnel from non-critical services to assist the Weld
County Department of Public Health and Environment in the event of a public health emergency,and
WHEREAS,a hearing before the Board was held on the 28th day of December, 2005, at
which time the Board deemed it necessary to continue said matter to February 1, 2006, at
9:00 a.m., and
WHEREAS,at said hearing on the 1st day of February,2006,after review,the Board deems
it advisable to continue the matter to March 1, 2006, at 9:00 a.m., to allow time for discussion
between the Department of Public Health and Environment and the Department of Personnel.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Letter of Agreement for County Employee Volunteers from the County
of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
on behalf of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment,and various employee
volunteers be, and hereby is, continued to March 1, 2006, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 1st day of February, A.D., 2006.
