High Plains Natural Gas Pipeline Project
Colorado Interstate Gas (CIG), in conjunction with Public Service Company of Colorado
(PSCO), plans to construct a natural gas pipeline (referenced as High Plains) to transport additional
volumes of natural gas throughout the Front Range area. CIG is proposing to construct four(4) segments
of the High Plains Pipeline as follows:
The proposed project will be comprised of four(4), 24 and 30-inch diameter pipeline segments
totaling about 164 miles to be located in Adams, Morgan, and Weld counties in Colorado.
• The first pipeline segment, is proposed to begin at CIG's existing Cheyenne Compressor Station
located in Section 5,Township 11 North,Range 66 West, Weld County, Colorado and would
extend south/southeasterly approximately 85 miles to intersect at a point located southeast of
Prospect Valley in Section 17, Township 2 South,Range 62 West, Adams County, Colorado.
• The second pipeline segment is proposed to begin at CIG's existing Watkins Compressor Station
located in Section 31,Township 3 South, Range 65 West, Adams County, Colorado extending 58
miles northeast and terminating at a point at CIG's existing Fort Morgan Compressor Station
located Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 58 West, Morgan County, Colorado.
• The third pipeline segment is proposed to begin one mile north of the Hudson Power Plant in the
Town of Hudson, Colorado and would extend approximately 14 miles west to a new interconnect
location with PSCO's existing Tri-Town system located in Section 27,Township 2 North, Range
67 West,Weld County, Colorado.
• The fourth segment is proposed to begin at CIG's Watkins Compressor Station located on Smith
Road extending west approximately 6 miles, and terminating at CIG's existing East Denver
measurement facility located on Chambers Road in Section 29, Township 3 South, Range 66
West, Adams County, Colorado.
An environmental review of these projects will be conducted by the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission("FERC") as required by the National Environmental Policy Act(NEPA).
Colorado Interstate Gas would like to invite you to attend one of three open house meetings to
introduce the project to the public, and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and learn more
about our plans. At these meetings, CIG will provide information regarding the proposed project route
crossing your property, answer questions, and will discuss any issues that you would like to have
addressed during the project planning process.

If FERC officials are present, they will collect public comments on the scope of the
environmental review and answer questions associated with the regulatory processes involved in
evaluating this project.
