RE: ESTABLISH CHANGE FUND FOR DEPARTMENT OF CLERK AND RECORDER,
ELECTION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has received a request from the Weld County Clerk and Recorder
that a Change Fund in the amount of$25.00 be established for the Election Department, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration and the Controller have
recommended approval of said request, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it
advisable and in the best interests of Weld County to approve said request.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that a Change Fund in the amount of$25.00 be,and hereby is, established for
the Weld County Clerk and Recorder, Election Department.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 12th day of April, A.D., 2006.

Dear Barb,
Please add a change fund for the Election Department. In the past, the Election
Department was able to make change for their paying customers from the
Recording Department's cash drawer. The Election Department is moving to a
new building located at 1401 North 17th Avenue on Thursday, April 6, 2006. They
will need their own cash drawer.
The Election Department will need $25.00 to start a cash drawer for their new
office.
