The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, January 9, 2006, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair Pro-Tem and on roll call the following members
were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Chair- EXCUSED
Commissioner David E. Long, Pro-Tern
Commissioner William H. Jerke - EXCUSED
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jenny VanEgdom
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
MINUTES: Commissioner Masden moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of January 4, 2006, as printed. Commissioner Vaad seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval
by the Board in the amount of $10,820.82. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve the warrants as
presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER ADDENDUM TO NINE AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE CHILD PLACEMENT AGENCY
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Judy Griego, Director of Social Services, stated the
addendum will provide for an extension of the agreements to June 30,2006,and the reimbursement rates
will remain the same. Commissioner Masden moved to approve said addendum and authorize the Chair
to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously.
CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICESANDAUTHORIZECHAIRTO SIGN-
CHILD ADVOCACY RESOURCEAND EDUCATION, INC.: Ms. Griego stated funds, in the amount of
$49,494.00,will be provided for a term of January 1,2006,through, December 31,2006. Ms.Griego stated
Child Advocacy Resource and Education, Inc.,will provide parent education classes,children's programs,
a prevention program,and community education. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said agreement
and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Masden, the motion carried unanimously.

There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
