To the Weld County Board of Commissioners
Dear Commissioners: Given the lack of snow clearing by the County from roads in the Casagrande,
Enchanted Hills, Idaho Creek, Elms, Vista Commercial Center and Meadow Vale subdivisions, you
might want to consider inaugurating a Southwest Weld Road Maintenance Authority to go along with
the Southwest Weld Law Enforcement Authority givng to home buyers in new subdivisions at least the
illusion that they will get special treatment from the county, specifically in this case that snow will be
promptly removed from the subdivision streets before they are compacted and iced over
preventing effective plowing with available County equipment even if it was done, and instead of
prpoerty owners having to rely on their own devices to make them passable enough to get out to plowed
highways. Somehow the short street leading to my residence seems to having received special attention,
without my requesting it, while the rest of the subdivision would appear to have been plowed or tracked
down only by efforts of the residents. Was it a case of the squeeky wheel getting the grease? John
