The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, April 30, 2007, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner David E. Long, Chair
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner William F. Garcia
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Elizabeth Strong
Controller, Barb Connolly
MINUTES: Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services
meeting of April 25, 2007, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried
unanimously.
WARRANTS: Barb Connolly, Controller, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount
of $13,761.92. Commissioner Garcia moved to approve the warrants as presented by Ms. Connolly.
Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -
INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY SERVICES: Judy Griego, Director of Social Services, stated the
agreement was reviewed at a work session on April 9, 2007. She stated the term of the contract is
April 1, 2007, through December 31, 2007, and the source of funding is Child Welfare Administration
funding. She further stated the agreement is for Individual and Group Therapy Services to provide
treatment for juveniles with sexually reactive behavior, between the ages of 12 and 18 years old, and who
are involved in the Child Welfare system. Ms. Griego stated the Department will reimburse Individual and
Group Therapy Services according to their fee schedule. Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve
said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Masden,the motion carried
unanimously.

There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:06 a.m.
