RE: RESCINDING PERSONNEL POLICY SECTION 2. 8. 3
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, upon the adoption of the Weld County Personnel Policy
Manual, the Board of County Commissioners did include Section 2. 8. 3,
which indicated specifically that:
Moving expenses: Moving expenses for household goods
may be reimbursed at a rate not to exceed one month' s
salary for the position involved. These expenses will
only be reimbursed for new employees hired for the
following positions who move to the Greeley area:
Director of Health Services
Director of Finance
Director of Planning
Director of Human Resources
County Attorney
County Engineer
Director of Ambulance Services
Director of Communications
Undersheriff
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in reviewing this
policy, desire to modify this policy by rescinding it and only
approve moving expenses on a case-by-case basis for Department
Head positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-
sioners that Personnel Policy Section 2. 8. 3 regarding moving expen-
ses is hereby rescinded effective this date.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that in the event that a Department Head is recruited by Weld
County outside of the area, that the Board will address, on a
case-by-case basis, as to whether or not moving expenses will be
paid by Weld County and payment will only be made upon the adop-
tion of a specific Resolution for the position and the person.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 11th
day of January, A.D. , 1982.
