Dear Mr. Ogle:
This letter is written in response to a meeting you had on January 26, 2007 with Joe
Sanchez and Scott Knutson of Kerr-McGee Gathering, LLC ("KMG"), regarding KMG's
application for electrical permit ELS-061089 for its Hudson Compressor Station. It is our
understanding that your staff is prepared to recommend the release of the electrical permit as
long as Weld County has assurance that KMG will apply for an amendment to its Special Use
Permit (SUP-217) for the Hudson Compressor Station.
As a result of the January 26 meeting, KMG is committed to applying for an amendment
to SUP-217 permit for the Hudson Compressor Station and is in the process of preparing an
application to submit to Weld County Planning. KMG respectfully requests that the electrical
permit is released at this time in order that a fan cooler may be installed at the Hudson
Compressor Station. The installation of the fan cooler will significantly reduce the emissions at
the Hudson Compressor Station and provide a substantial monetary savings in fuel gas
purchases.
