RE : APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO RECORDED EXEMPTION NO. 527 -
VERNON C. AND ALICE SPAYD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has approved
Recorded Exemption No. 527 for Vernon C. and Alice Spayd
concerning property described as part of the North half,
Section 21, Township 1 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M. ,
Weld County, Colorado, lying east of the easterly right-of-way
line of the Burlington Northern Railroad, and
WHEREAS , Vernon C. and Alice Spayd have requested that
Recorded Exemption No. 527 be amended by increasing the size
of lot "A" from 5 acres, more or less, to 13. 173 acres, more
or less, and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners has studied
said request to amend Recorded Exemption No. 527 and deems
it advisable to approve the amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that the hereinabove
amendment to Recorded Exemption No. 527 for Vernon C. and
Alice S.payd be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th
day of March, A.D. , 1982.

Re: Amended recorded exemption #527
Dear Commissioners:
The attached application, plat and related items are in reference to a
request to amend recorded exemption number 527 from Vernon and Alice Spayd.
The property is described as the N1, Section 21, T1N, R65W of the 6th P.M.
Weld County, Colorado. The land is located two miles southwest of the
town of Hudson.
The request is to amend recorded exemption #527 by increasing the size
of lot "A" from 5 acres, more or less, to 13.173 acres, more or less.
The State Highway Department is negotiating for this eight acre tract.
Until the sale of this land, the applicant prefers this land to be
included with lot "A". Lot "B" will remain the same size (221.002 acres,
more or less) , since the eight acre protion the Highway Department was
negotiating for was not included in the original action.
Based upon the information submitted, the Department of Planning Services
staff recommends approval of this requested amendment for the following
reasons:
1. The impact on surrounding agricultural land uses would
not appear to be any different than the original request,
which has been approved.
2. This reqeust is in compliance with Section 9-4 A. of the
Weld County Subdivision Regulations.

To whom this may concern:
We would like exemption #527 to be Amended for the following
reasons:
Due to a misunderstanding and error in our part, we wanted
the Surveyor to be sure we had the 5 acres left after the
Highway Department purchased the 8 acre portion. But until
the highway department purchases the eight acres we want the
portion connected to the 5 acres making the total of 13.173
acres for the smaller portion.
We did not realize that we had made this error until
after the exemption was filed.
Our home, trees and other imporvements exists on the 13.173
acres which we want to keep. The largest portion of land we want
to sell to our son so he can establish his farm residence.
