Review and update status from each entity 2. Discuss any problems or complaints 3. Discuss any plans needed to be amended or updated 4. Discuss any assistance anyone needs 5. Discuss any training needs 6 Discuss standards for wireless transmission for Hipaa and security of 7 Other Notes: Each entity provided a status update regarding their division. No division received a complaint in regard to their Hipaa administration Each entity expressed challenges they face while implementing Hipaa, and all were satisfied that no complaints or problems have been encountered to date that were not addressed by existing policies and procedures. It was agreed that the plan needs to be modified to include, technological changes, volunteer's roles with Weld County, especially in the Health Department, and to research security issues related to outside usage of sensitive information. Additional training materials were requested to help further assist staff members. Much attention was directed toward maintaining electronic medical records and the challenges faced by all divisions involved with this information. Action Items requiring further follow up: Monica: Update plan to include volunteer participation in Weld County government in relationship to needed Hipaa standards, Review plan to ensure that security issues related to outside the office usage Monica and Anita: Obtain some training materials for departmental use. Dave: meet with local police chiefs to review Hipaa needs and requirements for WC Paramedic Services transfers.
