Morrison Planning Department Representative, Michael Mullen The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 15, 1984, and duly published in the La Salle Leader on October 18, 1984, a public hearing was conducted to consider the application of Tri-Area Ambulance District for the formation of an ambulance district in southwest Weld County. Chairman N. Carlson informed the applicant that only four Commissioners were present and that in case of a tie vote, the fifth Commissioner would have to listen to the tape and cast the deciding vote. Assistant County Attorney Lac D. Morrison read this application into the record. Planning Department representative Michael Mullen read the favorable recommendation of the Planning Commission. Cerise Bury, president of the Board of Directors of the present Tri-Area Volunteer Ambulance Service, came forward to explain this proposal to the Board. Mr. Morrison stated that notice of the hearing had been sent to the City of Longmont Fire Protection Co. when it should have been sent to Longmont Fire Protection District, which was basis for continuing the hearing to a date when a reasonable amount of time has been given to Longmont Fire Protection for notice of the hearing. Commissioner C. Carlson moved to continue this hearing to November 21, 1934, at 2:00 p.m. , when further testimony can be heard. Conuni_ssioner Johnson seconded t ne notion and requested for those present to proceed with their testimony. Joe Fuss, Dacono Fire Chief, made comments and answered questions of the Board. Jerry Wones, Ambulance Director, made comments and recommended approval. Don Warden, Finance Director, also came rorward to make comments. After further discussion, the motion to continue the hearing to November 21, 1984, at 2:00 p.m. carried unanimously. Martin TAPE #84-117 DOCKET #84-70 u97 NOTICE Docket No . 84-70 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN , the Board of Weld County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing to consider the request for the formation of an ambulance district in southwest Weld County.. The hearing has been set for November 7 , 1984 , to be held in the First Floor Hearing Room, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street , Greeley , Colorado, at 2 : 00 P .M. The proposed TriArea Ambulance District will consist of the Frederick Fire Protection District and portions of the Dacono Area Fire Protection District , encompassing the municipalities of Frederick, Firestone and Dacono and the unincorporated area of Evanston . A map, cost estimate , all resolutions and proceedings are on file and may be examined at the office of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners , 915 10th Street, Third Floor , Greeley, Colorado, between 8 : 00 A.M. and 5 : 00 P.M. Comments by the owner:; of any real estate to be assessed will be heard by the Board of County Commissioners before final action is taken thereon . The owner of any real property within the proposed district may file a petition with the Weld County District Court request- ing that his property be excluded from the district , stating therein the reasons for exclusion. The petition shall be verified , shall describe the property to be excluded, and must be filed at least 10 days prior to the court hearing on the petition for organization .
