RE: APPOINTMENT OF RALPH ROGERS AND PHIL RODARTE TO BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE GILCREST SANITATION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 32-1-849 (2) , the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado is empowered to
fill vacancies on special districts located within the county,
and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Board of Direc-
tors of the Gilcrest Sanitation District, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Ralph Rogers and
Phil Rodarte be appointed to serve on the Board of Directors
of the Greeley Sanitation District, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to
appoint Ralph Rogers and Phil Rodarte to said Board of Directors .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that Ralph Rogers , 255
Eighth Street, Gilcrest, Colorado, and Phil Rodarte, 255 Rail-
road Street, Gilcrest, Colorado, be, and hereby are, appointed
to the Board of Directors of the Gilcrest Sanitation District.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 19th day of
January, A.D. , 1981 .

of Board Members
Dear Commissioners:
The Board of County Commissioners are empowered by C.R.S. 32-1-849(2)
to fill certain vacancies on special districts located within the county.
Certain vacancies have existed on the Board of Directors of the Gilcrest
Sanitation District for more than 60 days without having been filled by
the remaining member or members. Two vacancies occurred recently
because it was determined that two Board members did not live within
the boundaries of the District. As a result, there are currently four
vacancies on the Board of Directors of the Gilcrest Sanitation District.
Only the chairman was properly elected to his office and it is unclear
from the statute cited above whether or not he would have the power
to appoint four new members to the Board. The Gilcrest Sanitation
District would, therefore, respectfully request that the Board of County
Commissioners appoint and confirm the following electors as members
of the Board of Directors of the Gilcrest Sanitation District:
