RE: ACTION OF BOARD AT SHOW CAUSE HEARING CONCERNING USE BY SPECIAL
REVIEW PERMIT #1602 FOR AN AGRICULTURAL SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT,
INCLUDING A LIVESTOCK CONFINEMENT OPERATION (DAIRY FOR A TOTAL OF
4,500 CATTLE, INCLUDING MILKING COWS AND DRY COWS) IN THE
A(AGRICULTURAL)ZONE DISTRICT- BRAD AND SCOTT COCKROFTS DAIRY, LLC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 2007, a Show Cause Hearing was conducted to consider
revocation of Use by Special Review Permit #1602 for an Agricultural Service Establishment,
including a Livestock Confinement Operation (dairy for a total of 4,500 cattle, including milking
cows and dry cows)in the A(Agricultural)Zone District, issued to Brad and Scott Cockrofts Dairy,
LLC, 27906 County Road 388, Kersey, Colorado 80644, and
WHEREAS, Brad and Scott Cockrofts Dairy, LLC, is the current owner of the facility located
on property being further described as follows:
Lot A of Amended Recorded Exemption#178; being
part of Section 11, Township 6 North, Range 64
West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado
WHEREAS, after hearing all of the testimony presented, the Board deemed it advisable to
continue the matter to August 13, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., in order to allow the applicant to implement
the Revised Management Plan for Nuisance Control.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Show Cause Hearing concerning revocation of Use by Special Review
Permit #1602, issued to Brad and Scott Cockrofts Dairy, LLC, be, and hereby is, continued to
August 13, 2008, at 10:00 a.m.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the applicant shall submit a copy of an
agreement with the property's mineral owners/operators stipulating that the oil and gas activities
have been adequately incorporated into the design of the site by January 1, 2008, or provide
evidence that a good-faith effort has been made to mitigate the concerns of the mineral owners.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 24th day of October, A.D., 2007.
