RE: DECLARECERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY,APPROVEWAIVEROF
TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE
SALE OF SURPLUS STEEL STRINGERS BID,AND AUTHORIZE SALE OF SAME TO
DBE MANUFACTURING AND SUPPLY, LLC
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of be
declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS,the County has determined that certain equipment,described as steel stringers,
wood products,concrete tees,and a Bobcat attachment, is no longer required for County use, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a bid for purchase for said equipment from
the following companies: DBE Manufacturing and Supply, LLC,431 5th Street,Greeley,Colorado
80631;Andersen's Sales and Salvage, Inc., 1490 East 8th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631; and
Curt's Hauling, Inc., 1828 Birch Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80631, and
WHEREAS, DBE Manufacturing and Supply, LLC, presented the Board with the highest bid
to buy said equipment for, and in consideration of, the sum of$155.20 per ton for steel stringers,
and a total of$421.00 for the wood products, concrete tees, and Bobcat attachment, and
WHEREAS,the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and approve
said high bid proposal, and
WHEREAS,the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for Sale of Surplus Steel Stringers for the Department of Public Works, Bid Request
No. B012-07, due to the immediate need to dispose of said items, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day
waiting period for said bid.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared surplus.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado,that the ten-day waiting period for the Sale of Surplus Steel Stringers for the Department
of Public Works, Bid Request No. B012-07 be, and hereby is, waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the high bid for purchase of said equipment
from DBE Manufacturing and Supply, LLC, be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 18th day of April, A.D., 2007.
