Re: Claim of James J. Doke Against The Weld County Sheriff and His Deputies,
Eric Stauts, Kevin Schwartz and John Tucker
Sirs:
In connection with the requirements of C.R.S. 24-10-109, claimant James J. Doke, by and
through his attorney Robert E. Ray,hereby provides the following:
1. The name and address of the claimant is James J. Doke, 1425 WCR 32, Longmont, CO
80504. His attorney is Robert E. Ray, 909 11th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631
2. On October 4, 2006, the above named deputies trespassed upon the real property of James
J. Doke,wrongfully entered his residence,wrongfully pointed guns at him, had serious
and substantial damage caused to his residence, wrongfully had him arrested, and then
wrongfully had him prosecuted.
3. The names of the public employees involved are those named above and their address is
the Weld County Sheriff's Office.
4. James J. Doke suffered mental anguish, physical harm, humiliation, loss of employment,
attorney fees and bond fees, and serious damage to his residence.
5. At this time the exact amount of monetary damages has not been ascertained, since James
J. Doke has not been able to restore his residence to its prior condition and the frivolous
prosecution is still being maintained against James J. Doke.
