HomeMy WebLinkAbout20070913.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE CHEMICAL PURCHASES BID - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, WEED AND PEST DIVISION WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS,the Department of Purchasing has requested a waiver of the ten-day waiting period for Chemical Purchases Bid,for the Department of Public Works,Weed and Pest Division, Bid Request No. B0700085, due to being able to participate in a joint bid and as a result receive large volume discounts, and WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day waiting period for said bid. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for the Chemical Purchases Bid, for the Department of Public Works,Weed and Pest Division,Bid Request No.B0700085,be,and'hereby is, waived. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bids from Helena Chemical, UAP Timberland, LLC,Van Diest, Estes Inc., and American Pride Coop be, and hereby are,accepted. The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of March, A.D., 2007.
