RE: APPROVAL OF EXTENSION RIDER TO LEASE AGREEMENT, AUDIT NO.
OMA-2027 , WITH UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY FOR PROPERTY
IN AULT, COLORADO USED BY WELD COUNTY FOR ROAD EQUIPMENT
MAINTENANCE SHOPS AND AUTHORIZATION FOR CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Agreement Audit No. OMA-2027 , Weld
County utilizes property in Ault, Colorado for road equipment
maintenance shops, said property being owned by Union Pacific
Railroad Company, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has been pre-
sented with an Extension Rider to the lease on the aforementioned
property, and
WHEREAS, said Extension Rider provides that, effective on
December 1 , 1983 , for a period of five (5) years, Weld County
shall pay to the Union Pacific Railroad Company rental at the
rate of TWO HUNDRED and NO/100 DOLLARS ($200 . 00) per annum, said
amount to be in lieu of the rental heretofore stipulated, and
WHEREAS, said Extension Rider further provides that, effec-
tive December 1, 1983, Section 9 of the above-mentioned lease
shall be, and hereby is , deleted and expunged, and
WHEREAS, after study and review, the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County deems it in the best interests of
Weld County to approve said Extension Rider to lease property
owned by Union Pacific Railroad Company, :a_cOpy .of:said_EXtCnsion
Rider being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Extension Rider to
Lease Agreement, Audit No. OMA-2027, between Weld County, Colo-
rado and Union Pacific Railroad Company, being utilized by Weld
County for road equipment maintenance shops in Ault, Colorado
be, and hereby is, approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be,
and hereby is, authorized to sign said Extension Rider.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 19th day of
December, A.D. , 1983.

IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED by and between the present parties to the above-named agreement
that the term thereof shall be and hereby is extended to and including __N_QvgtplsgtjQ_-__--_--__ 19-88_ and that
all the terms and conditions thereof, as heretofore or herein supplemented and/or amended,shall remain in full force
and effect during the extended term, said agreement with the supplements and/or amendments (if any) to be subject
to termination prior to the expiration of the extended term in the same manner as is provided therein for termination
prior to the expiration of the term hereby extended.
Special provisions: Effective December 1, 1983, the Lessee shall pay to the Lessor
rental at the rate of TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) per annum, payable adnually in
advance, in lieu of the rental heretofore stipulated.
Effective December 1, 1983, Section 9 of the above-mentioned
agreement shall be and hereby is deleted and expunged.

lease of site for road equipment maintenance shop at Ault,
Colorado which will expire by its own terms November 30 , 1983 .
Attached herewith is rider designed to extend this
lease for a further term of five years.
Please execute all documents in the space provided and
return both copies to me for similar action on behalf of the
Railroad Company. When completed, a fully executed copy will be
returned for your records.
Please do not send any money at this time. To insure
that rental payments are properly credited to your account, we
prefer to have our Accounting Department handle the billing for
annual rental. You will be contacted further in this regard at
a later date.
