I became very concerned after one of the community writers for the Coloradoan reminded us about the ash we had here from Mt. St. Helens years ago - we are only ten miles away from this proposed mine. I have a hard time trusting an industry that has the kind of history I'm reading about: Cortez Colorado http://denver.rockymountainnews.com/millennium/1002bust.shtml <http://console.mxlogic.com/redir/?IILKc3ChNJBBd-UVNcS03g-1DUZ6JyFpmHs9Xa4fckVv5p7D 24 CRshLtcwTivklNK_nK- yUMgenTT3tPtyspkFoCoQwy2BXriv0QSMMCgejqa9EV73DNPa8USyUr2Rj7NDZypEw1B2k29KvxYY1NJ4SyrppjvKe 611v12(t t LtiIQGCCJZj 1 /S fr /a- - ago ? 02O7- (991-c-. hhdJ17m> There are worthy endeavors in life and there are unworthy endeavors in life - guess which catagory I've got this one in. CO From: Nathan Scott [mailto:nscott@sageprogram.org] Sent: Monday, December 17, 2007 3 :33 PM To: William Garcia Subject: STOP Uranium mining in N. CO Dear Mr. Garcia, My family and I recently moved our small business from Seattle, WA to northern Colorado because we were attracted by the quality of life here. However, had we known about the potential of uranium mining in the area, we might never have moved. Now that we are here, I do not want to subject my family or my employees to the potentially harmful effects of living near a uranium mine. I am VERY concerned about the potentially severe impacts the proposed uranium mine near Nunn, Colorado will have on our land, water, and health. As my representative, I ask that you do everything in your power to stop this project. Thank You. 6 1.6ere°-i1-4/ /L /fl9 - a6 - ne7 1 Nathan Kumar Scott, Director Studies Abroad for Global Education (SAGE) nscott@sageprogram.org www.sageprogram.org <http://console.mxlogic.com/redir/? bbbXzOVAsrppjvKesjdwOGghZgdictlU02rLRXEFTovoj 76XCUkJmsMlj ifHhGhzGL00jrOpEVvdEECzAsgemrzAm3 grNIol8o2NEw2stx9JkQgaOxal4Qgiwg80pNEw4wMrDUvf0srhdECSmkTXzAkj qll-> (toll free) 1-888-997-SAGE 2 Hello
