According to your assessment, our property has been valued as follows: Our Property 2005 Assessment $477802 June 2006-Original $538353 June 2006-Adjusted after appeal $505167 As per the above numbers,we appealed your initial valuation of our property($538)which resulted in an adjustment of$33K.,bringing the valuation to$505. While we appreciate the adjustment,it is totally inconsistent with the adjustment given to our next door neighbors at#7267 WCR 72. Their valuation was lowered by over$100K from $531K to$420K. We do not understand the rationale used in determining either the valuations nor the adjustments. Their property has more acreage than ours,is° the age of ours, has a full finished basement a built in swimming pool, all 8 acres are fenced with white vinyl fencing, and they have a paved driveway. We have fewer acres,an older home,no basement,no pool,20 year old wooden split rail fence, and a gravel driveway, How could their property be valued at almost$85K LESS than ours? Why was our adjustment only$33K(6%),and theirs $$111K(21%)??I! This is totally unfair. I do not begrudge my neighbors forgetting a significant adjustment,...more power to them. I am disputing how these valuations were calculated, and why they are so grossly inequitable. There are only a few houses on this road and their valuations are totally inconsistent with one another. What process, and what comps were used to determine these values? We therefore, respectfully request that you again review and adjust the valuation of our property to be in line with the other homes in the neighborhood.
