WELD COUNTY, COLORADO

The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, March 7, 2007, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner David E. Long, Chair
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner William F. Garcia
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Elizabeth Strong
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
MINUTES: Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services
meeting of March 5, 2007, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried
unanimously.
WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval
by the Board in the amount of $10,443.17. Commissioner Jerke moved to approve the warrants as
presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER ADDENDUM TO THE AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE CHILD PLACEMENT AGENCY
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -ARIEL CHILD PLACEMENT AGENCY: Judy Griego,
Director of Social Services, stated the addendum is for the period retroactive from July 1, 2006, through
June 30, 2007. She stated the rates are based on the Needs Based Care Assessment scale.
Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve said addendum. Seconded by Commissioner Garcia,the
motion carried unanimously.
CONSIDER ADDENDUMS TO TWO AGREEMENTS TO PURCHASE GROUP HOME CARE SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Ms. Griego stated the agreements are scheduled to terminate
June 30, 2007, and the rates for vendors are based on care and services rates set by the Colorado
Department of Human Services. Commissioner Masden moved to approve said addendums. Seconded
by Commissioner Garcia, the motion carried unanimously.

CONSIDER AMENDMENT TO INTRAGOVERNMENTAL PURCHASE OF SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR
THE BUILDING HEALTHY MARRIAGES PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - WELD
COUNTY DIVISION OF HUMAN SERVICES: Ms. Griego stated the amendment will increase the
reimbursementamountfrom$788,955.00 to$923,732.00 to provide partial funding for the Human Services
and Family Educational Network of Weld County Programs'support, personnel, and overhead costs. She
stated the source of funding is the Colorado Works Program's budget. She further stated the amendment
will also clarify the eligibility requirements for couples to receive services. Commissioner Garcia moved
to approve said amendment. Seconded by Commissioner Jerke, the motion carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted
by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:15 a.m.
