The Weld=Cyunty(Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld County
Home Rule Charter;Monday, December 17, 2007, 6:30 p.m., at the Weld County
Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, CO.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Tom Pettit. Vice President
Ginny Buczek, Councilman John Kivimaki, Councilwoman Nancy Teksten and
Councilman Gene Stille were present, constituting a quorum of the members. Also
present was Karla Ford, council secretary.
WELD COUNTY COUNCIL PRESIDENT RESIGNATION:
Weld County Council President Tom Pettit turned in his official resignation letter
informing the council he will be running for a position with Board of County
Commissioners.
APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTATION:
November 19, 2007 Council Minutes
Councilwoman Buczek made a motion to approve the November 19, 2007 council
minutes. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kivimaki and carried.
Resolution 165 — Setting Council Meeting Dates for 2008
Councilwoman Buczek made a motion to adopt Resolution 165 — Setting Council
Meeting Dates for 2008. The motion was seconded by Councilman Stille and carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
2008 Weld County Council Meeting Locations
The meeting room at the Southwest Building for October 20, 2008 is unavailable for the
Council's use. Councilman Kivimaki made a motion to change the October 20, 2008
meeting place to Greeley at the Centennial Center and meet at the Southwest Building
on August 18, 2008. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Teksten and carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Possible Resolution to Commissioners Regarding Uranium Mine
The Weld County Council spent time discussing this issue and a resolution will not be
drafted at this time. Councilman Stifle will talk with Weld County Planning on the
process for the mine and will report back at a meeting in 2008.

Payment of the Bills
Councilman Kivimaki made a motion the bills be paid as listed:
Mileage for Council President Tom Pettit $52.50
Mileage for Council Vice President Ginny Buczek $29.16
Mileage for Councilman John Kivimaki $41.85
Mileage for Councilwoman Nancy Teksten $ 7.44
Mileage for Councilman Gene Stille $44.18
Ft. Lupton Press—Report to the People 3rd Quarter $27.21
The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Teksten and carried.
ADJOURNMENT: By acclamation the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
