You have only to look at the mess that remains in Utah after the mining was finished. The waste products are still lying above ground, polluting the water streams and air. Powertech does not need to request permits from the NRC since the State of Colorado has the sole authority to approve the mining. This is one less "hoop" that Powertech needs to jump through. We pled that you do everything in your power to stop the mining process until all citizens questions and concerns are answered and firm agreements are in place. Weld county is a wonderful place to live - please keep it that way!
