RE: CANVASS BOARD CERTIFICATION OF NOVEMBER 7, 2006, SPECIAL ELECTION -
WELD COUNTY PIONEER COMMUNITY LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on November 7, 2006, a Special Mail Ballot Election was held in and for the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, and
WHEREAS, certain ballot issues were included in said election regarding the Creation of
the Weld County Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority, as fully stated in Resolution
#2006-2748, approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on October 4,
2006, and corrected by Resolution#2007-3378, approved by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County on October 29, 2007, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with the Canvass Board Certification, dated
November 7, 2006, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to accept said
certification, thereby making November 7, 2006, the effective date for the creation of the Weld
County Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Canvass Board Certification of the November 7, 2006, Special Mail
Ballot Election for Weld County, Colorado, be, and hereby is, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that November 7, 2006, be, and hereby is, the
effective date for the creation of said Authority.
