RE: SALE OF MOBILE HOME
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested
with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on November 12, 1981, the Weld County Treasurer purchased a
mobile home, with title number 03E-791810, at tax sale for $225.30 previously
belonging to Glenn D. and Margaret Dalrymple, and
WHEREAS, G.E. Credit Corporation of Northglenn, Colorado, notified the
County on June 17, 1983, that G.E. Credit Corporation held a second lien on
the mobile home, which they had failed to record so the Treasurer could notify
them for tax redemption purposes, and
WHEREAS, the 1982 taxes for the mobile home are due in the amount of
$178.94, for the Treasurer's Office's total investment of $404.25, and
WHEREAS, Weld County does not have any need for the mobile home and has
previously advertised for the sale of the mobile home for a tax sale, and
WHEREAS, G.E. Credit Corporation has offered to Weld County the sum of
$450.00 to purchase the mobile home.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County that the above-mentioned mobile home is hereby declared surplus
with the mobile home having previously been advertised for a tax sale on
November 12, 1981; and that the Board of County Commissioners accepts the
offer of $450.00 for the redemption and purchase of the above-mentioned mobile
home in the amount of $450.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman is hereby authorized to convey
title of the above mobile home to G.E. Credit Corporation.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of July, A.D. , 1983.

Dalrymple-Mobile Home Sale
Subject:
On June 17, 1983 , Scott Baer from the G. E. Credit Corporation,
contacted the Treasurer' s Office. Baer wanted to know how G. E.
could get the Briarwood mobile home belonging to the Dalrymples
back for G. E. Baer admitted that the corporation failed to
record its second lien on the home. The first lien expired May
17 , 1983.
On June 28, 1983 , attorney Bill Banta of 572-3066 for the G. E.
Corporation called requesting further information. With regard
to this mobile home, it appears that December 17 , 1982 , the
Treasurer posted notice on the mobile home indicating that 1980
real estate taxes were due in the amount of $217 .59 and redemption
in that amount was good until December 29 , 1982 . Further notices
were thereafter given of the taxes due and interest which had
accrued. On January 27, 1983 , the Treasurer sent notice of the
due taxes to the G. E. Credit Corporation at 10701 Melody Drive,
Suite 513, Northglenn, Colorado, pursuant to the address held by
the State of Colorado for the G. E. lien. That letter was
returned undelivered. The mobile home title at the Weld County
Clerk and Recorder' s office contained the same address. The
Treasurer thereafter found a contrasting address in the phone
book and sent a second notice March 15 , 1983 , at 10465 Melody
Drive, Northglenn, Colorado. That notice did not return to the
Treasurer' s office. The mobile home owners paid the 1981 taxes.
1982 taxes are due in the amount of $178 .94 . At no time has
G. E. or the mobile home owners attempted to redeem this property.
November 12 , 1981, the Treasurer purchased the mobile home at tax
sale for $225. 31. With the 1982 taxes included, the Treasurer' s
office has an investment of $404 .25 .
G. E. is interested in purchasing the mobile home from Weld County
for $400. 00 to $450 .00 and having Weld County assign its title to
G. E.
The Weld County Treasurer' s Office concurs with this plan.
