I have read various reports on this mining including the report from Powertech's representative Daniel Gorski. "This generally means that the total dissolved solids in the water, which may have been mobilized in the recovery process, are processed to reduce their quantity. Occasionally a natural reluctant is dissolved in the ground water to precipitate any remaining uranium or metals that can be mobilized by the oxidation process and not removed by surface facilities. In addition, decommissioning of surface facilities will be required. " "Restoration of ground water is also well understood and has been accomplished in numerous ISR mining operations. " The exert from his report here is a statement that ground water restoration is not a guarantee, taking a chance to destroy the drinking water in every rural home that has tapped into this aquifer, contaminating it with lead, uranium, and other harmful materials is not a responsible risk that the county should take. The future costs of lawsuits should / eD7f n 1 P1 /a? S 623‘969 7 2007-3667 also be a factor in considering this option. With the population growth in and around Ft Collins, Pierce, Carr and Wellington this strip mining would deteriorate the land and home value in the surrounding area. Please note my opinion on the approval for this type of mine as not in favor. I am interested in finding out more information on when this will be approved and under what circumstances this can be rejected. I am interested in purchasing land in Weld county and any information you can pass along to me would be appreciated. Regards, Matt Matheson 415 Hudson Ct. Fort Collins, CO 2 Hello
