WHEREAS, Section 13-8-(1 ) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter states that the Weld County Council shall set the salaries of all elected officials; and furthermore, in the case of County Commissioners, the Charter provides for a delay in the effective date of said salary increases so as to provide for equal compensation of all Commissioners at all times; and WHEREAS, the Weld County Council has, by a unanimous vote agreed that the salaries of the Weld County Commissioners should be set at $28,000 for 1987 and 1988. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all Weld County Commissioners shall be paid $28,000 for the years 1987 and 1988, with said salary to take effect on the first working day of 1987.
