RESOLUTION
RE: ACCEPTANCE OF QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR ROAD FROM COLORADO DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on August 8, 2007, the Board was presented with a Quit Claim Deed for a
stretch of road,approximately 1.5 miles in length,currently owned and maintained by the State of
Colorado, Department of Transportation (CDOT), described as:
A tract or parcel of land No.2 of the Department of Transportation,State
of Colorado, Project No. IM 0252-164 containing 418280 square feet
(9.602 Acres), more or less, in Section 2, Township 2 North, Range 68
West and Section 35, Township 3 North, Range 68 West of the Sixth
Prime Meridian, in Weld County, Colorado, said tract being more
particularly described in the Quitclaim Deed executed bya representative
of the state of Colorado, which is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
WHEREAS, at said meeting the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter to
August 29, 2007, to allow time for a work session to take place, for the purpose of inviting
representatives of CDOT and the Town of Mead to address the Board's questions and concerns
regarding the acceptance of the frontage road, and
WHEREAS, CDOT, as a part of its plans to widen and improve 1-25 desires to transfer a
portion of the frontage road lying east of 1-25,between County Road 24.5 and State Highway 66,to
Weld County, and
WHEREAS,when the 1-25 project is completed,the road will no longer be needed or used,
and
WHEREAS, it is currently in the best interests of the residents of Weld County to have
access to, and use of this road.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the transfer of the property from the State of Colorado, Department of
Transportation, is hereby accepted,and the Quit Claim Deed executed by the State of Colorado,
Department of Transportation, shall be recorded in the Office of the Weld County Clerk and
Recorder and then presented to the Office of the Clerk to the Board.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that this Resolution shall be recorded with said
Quit Claim Deed.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the day 29th of August, A.D., 2007.

of Colorado, grantor, and Weld County, Colorado, A Body Corporate and
Politic whose legal address is 1555 North 17`b Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631
of the County of Weld and State of Colorado,grantee,
WITNESS, that the grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars and other good and valuable
consideration the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, has remised, released, sold and
QUITCLAIMED, and by these presents do remise, release, sell and QUITCLAIM unto the grantee, its hefts, successors and
