THIS AMENDMENT TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
AGREEMENT is entered into this /7n/ day of December , 20 01, by and
between the County of Weld, a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, and the
Weld County Sheriff, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of the County
of Weld, whose address is P. O. Box 785, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, 80632,
hereinafter referred to as "County" and the Town of Severance, Colorado whose address
is, P. O. Box 122, Severance, Colorado 80546, hereinafter referred to as "Town".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on October 1, 2004, the parties hereto enter into a Law Enforcement
Services Agreement, wherein "County" contracted to provide various law enforcement
services to the "Town" of Severance through its Sheriffs Office and,
WHEREAS, per the current Schedule D to said Law Enforcement Services
Agreement sets the Hourly rate per deputy assigned to $47.00 dollars per hour for
indirect billing. The maximum cumulative total for services via direct billing during the
term of this fiscal agreement shall be $120,000.00, for the fiscal year 2008.
NOW, THEREFORE in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants
contained herein and in the original Law Enforcement Service Agreement between
parties dated October 1, 2004, the parties hereto agree to amend said Law Enforcement
Services Agreement as follows:
1. The Sheriffs Office agrees to assign one deputy to work the Town of
Severance on a full time basis and with the remaining contracted hours being fulfilled by
other deputies assigned to the municipal policing group beginning June 6, 2008.
2. The Sheriffs Office agrees to decal one patrol car specifically delineating
it use in the Town of Severance.
3. All other provisions set forth in said Law Enforcement Services
Agreement Shall remain in full force and effect.
