Dear Commissioners:
I am writing to oppose the site specific development plan and a special review permit for
mineral resource development facilities including a concrete, recycled concrete and
gravel mining in the A (Agricultural) Zone district for a number of reasons.
There is nothing attractive or appealing in having a gravel pit operation in our
neighborhood. Nor is there any way to protect the surrounding homes from the dust, dirt,
noise etc., from such an operation. A gravel pit in this location will be detrimental to our
property values. There is no way to disguise such an eyesore.
I am strongly opposed to such a measure.

To whom it may concern
Pertaining to your purposed gravel mining operation. As a property owner east of U.S. 85 and
adjacent to the gravel mining operation west of U.S.85 and south of State Highway 52,there is
a water collecting pond on our property that may be affected by lowering the underground water
level.
This is of great concern for thisalso collects runoff water from the city of Ft. Lupton. Without the
water level, this runoff water would become stagnant in the pond.
It is requested that this water level be maintained by pumping from the mining operation routed
under U.S. 85 via existing underpass to continue the flow of water which at the end of the flow
ends up back into the Platte River.
Without this happening, property values would be affected.
