Change Order No. 1 for the WCR 74 and WCR 19 Intersection Improvements
Two original Change Order No. 1 are attached. Send one signed Change Order to Public
Works as soon as it is signed.
The contractor bid the project with the expectation stated in the contract that the ROW would be
cleared in 2006. This did not happen. During this time, the local landowners removed several
thousand yards of material that was to be utilized for construction. Along with the original quantity
changes, 2006 unit prices have increased at no fault of the Contractors. These changes are
documented on the attachment.
The appropriate documentation is attached.

Project: Weld County Road(WCR) 74 and WCR 19 Intersection Improvements Project. The project consists of approximately
9350 feet of road construction consisting of portions of new road construction, widening existing roadways with 8 foot paved
shoulders,and paved Rt and Lt turn lanes. DeFalco Construction Company was the low bidder on the project.
Owner: Weld County,Colorado
Contractor: DeFalco Construction Company,P.O.Box 820,Longmont,Colorado 80502
The following change is hereby made to the Contract Documents:
The Contractor bid the project with the expectation stated in the contract that the ROW would be cleared in 2006. This did not

The Contract Price due to this Change Order will be increased by: $ 124.595.01
The new Contract Price,including this Change Order,will be: $ 1,784,438.47
