RE: RECOMMENDATION FOR APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS MASDEN,
RADEMACHER,AND/OR JERKE TO THE COLORADO OIL AND GAS CONSERVATION
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, H.B. 07-1341 amended the membership of the Colorado Oil and Gas
Conservation Commission to include one local government official and one member "actively
engaged in agricultural production and also be a royalty owner," and
WHEREAS, Weld County is first in the State of Colorado and sixth in the United States in
agricultural production, and has over half of the oil and gas wells and is third in oil and gas
production in the State, and
WHEREAS,Commissioner Masden has extensive experience in local government and has
represented Weld County on a number of State committees and other appointments, and
WHEREAS,Commissioners Rademacher and Jerke,along with their extensive experience
in local government, are actively engaged in agricultural production and are oil and gas royalty
owners, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to recommend that the Governor appoint Commissioners
Masden, Rademacher, and/or Jerke to membership on the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation
Commission for terms beginning July 1, 2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Board hereby recommends to the Governor of the State of Colorado
that he appoint Commissioners Masden, Rademacher, and/or Jerke to membership on the
Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission for terms beginning July 1,2007, in the positions
above-described.

The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 30th day of May, A.D., 2007.
