RE: THE WITHDRAWAL OF MEMBERSHIP TO THE STATE-COUNTY MEMBERSHIP TO THE
STATE-COUNTY COST SHARING ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is
vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County became a member of State-County Cost Sharing
Association (STACO) for the purpose of joint development of the STACO valua-
tion and cost sharing system for use by the Assessor and Planning Departments,
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the County Assessor, Planning Depart-
ment, and Joint Data Processing Center that the system did not accommodate
the needs of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has not been actively participating in STACO for over
a two year period, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Weld County Departments involved with
STACO to no longer participate in the STACO system, and
WHEREAS, some of the contributions made to STACO by Weld County remain
unspent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado that they hereby concur that the State-County Cost
Sharing Association no longer benefits Weld County, and hereby formally with-
draws membership from STACO and requests that STACO remit to Weld County any
refundable Weld County contributions to STACO.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote on the 9th day of June, A.D. , 1980.

Dear Mr. Farley:
In response to your May 29, 1980 letter concerning the membership of Weld County
in STACO, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County took action to with-
draw their membership on June 9, 1980. As indicated in the attached resolution,
the Board of County Commissioners would appreciate a response from the other
members of STACO concerning our request for a refund of any unspent funds con-
tributed by Weld County.
