Dear Michele Martin,
This letter is in regard to the pen configuration changes that we made to the large pens at the
southern edge of the feedlot. We have included a diagram of the pens as they were when we
purchased this property and of how they are now. We made this change in order to be able to
separate smaller groups of cattle and feed them differently. We feed primarily breeding stock
that are healthier and easier to handle in smaller groups. This doesn't effect the total number of
animals that can be kept at the feedlot. This also did not change the physical space that the
cattle are in, it only separated them into smaller groups.
We originally wanted to make these changes in 1997. We met with the planning office in
Greeley, CO on April 16, 1997. At that time we were told that this was not a substantial change
but just improvements to the existing facilities. We did not make the changes immediately but
have done most of the fence building gradually as cash flow has allowed. This past November
we finished with the changes. Please let us know if you need additional information.
Thank you,
y. &Jiffs

Dear Michele Martin,
Enclosed please find a copy of our November 30,2006 Feedyard Sheet. The report shows our
current cattle inventory at 1605 head. We have both signed the report. We are clearly not over
the 3600 head maximum on the Special Use Permit. During the 13 years that we have owned
this feedyard we have never been close to exceeding that amount and we have no intentions of
getting close in the future. We have never asked to increase the maximum allowable number of
cattle and have no plans to ever do so. Please let us know what if any additional information that
you need from us.
Thank you,
tbytAtaj.
