Subject: Stop Uranium Mining in Northern Colorado
I have recently learned of the planned mining activities in Northern Colorado and am
appalled. I am very concerned about the potentially severe impacts the proposed uranium
mine near Nunn, Colorado will have on our land, water, and health. As my representative,
I ask that you do everything in your power to stop this project.
Thank You.

Mr. Rob Masden,
I hope it' s not too late. . .
I am very concerned about the potentially severe impacts the proposed uranium mine near
Nunn, Colorado will have on our land, water, and health. As my representative, I ask that
you do everything in your power to stop this project.
I have attended the meetings, I have seen the evidence of probable harmful effects to the
environment and people for many years to come.
I am concerned about what the uranium will be used for, who it is intended to be sold to
overseas and for what, how this will come back to us in possibly devastating or life
threatening forms other than the already threatening forms of environmental damage and
disease. There are reasons as to why buyers are willing to pay so high a price for uranium
and these reasons may not and probably are not in the best interests of humanity.
Please stop this.
Thank You.

Subject: Prevent Uranium Mining in Nunn
Dear Commissioner,
I have never written in to a government representative before, but I am so concerned about
the proposed uranium mining in Nunn, Colorado that I had to write. As a resident in the
Windsor area, just a few miles downwind of Nunn, I cannot overstate how concerned I am
about the future impact to our land and water, and to the health of our children.
If this uranium mine is approved, our family will be looking for a new home. As my
representative, I beg you to do everything you can to prevent this mining. Thank you very
much.
Sincerely,
Sarah Lancaster

To Weld and Larimer County Commissioners and State of Colorado
repre9 entatives and officials: As Members of the C C . fl • R- D
N p
. de. D. G• we are deeply
concerned about proposals to mine uranium in Northern Colorado.
• The negative health impacts of exposure to radiation are well-
known, and radiation is released into the environment by all
forms of uranium mining.
• According to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's 2007 report,
in situ leach mining - in particular - has a history of
contaminating water.
• Uranium mining in Northern Colorado could expose the horse
and livestock population to health threats, including genetic
deformities in breeding stock, from contaminated groundwater,
airborne radioactive particles, retention dam breaks, and
transportation accidents.
Therefore, We urge our representatives and public officials to protect
the Equine, Farm and Ranch populations by:
• Avoiding providing any permits that would allow uranium mining
until all questions about safety, health, and water quality are
answered by those who propose to mine.
• Developing regulations that protect your constituents from the
use of in situ leach technology to mine uranium in Colorado.
• Promoting economic development that provides for local people
and meets local needs and in particular, protects our agricultural
lifestyle, public health and`` safety.
