Y' ANN I::EULk I L1N, cI...6d: F�I:::i:'i:if lil:::I:, WELD (:LNT . n ORDINANCE NO. 77-A IN THE MATTER OF AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 77, AMBULANCE SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO: WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 77 currently provides that the Ambulance Service Licenses, Emergency Medical Technician Licenses and Ambulance Vehicle Permits shall be valid through December 31 of the calendar year issued, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Health is not currently capable of processing renewals for calendar year 1982 prior to the expiration of 1981 licenses and permits, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado deems it necessary to provide for a sixty (60) day extension of currently outstanding licenses and permits, and WHEREAS, the enactment of this Ordinance prior to the end of calendar year 1981 is necessary in order to prevent the expiration of outstanding licenses and permits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that Section 3. 3 shall be amended to read as follows: The Ambulance Service License and Ambulance Vehicle Permit shall be valid through December 31st of the year issued, except that licenses and permits issued for calendar year 1981 shall be valid through and including February 28 , 1982. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Section 5. 3 shall be amended to read as follows: All Emergency Medical Technician Licenses (B-P) shall be renewed annually, shall expire on December 31st of the year issued (except that licenses issued for calendar year 1981 shall be valid through and including February 28, 1982) , and shall not be renewed until the application has been approved by the Department. CO Page 2 RE : ORDINANCE NO. 77-A made not later than sixty (60) days prior to the expiration date of said license. Each license shall be issued only for the person named in the application, and no license shall be transferable or assignable. The fee for such licensure shall be five dollar ($5. 00) . The Department, with the approval of the Board, may waive payment of such fee. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that pursuant to Section 3-14 (6) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, the Board of County Commissioners finds and hereby declares this Ordinance to be an Emergency Ordinance and that its immediate passage is necessary to the preservation and protection of the public health, property and safety, and that time is of the essence for the effective date of this Ordinance. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, and BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado hereby finds , determines and declares that this Ordinance is necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Weld County, Colorado, and BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held or decided to be invalid or unconstitutional such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions. The Board of County Commissioners hereby declares that it would have passed this Ordinance and each and every section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, and phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections , sub- sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses or phrases might be declared to be unconstitutional and invalid.
