RE: APPROVE DESIGNATION OF BROKER/DEALER FOR INVESTMENT OF WELD
COUNTY FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Treasurer has requested authorization for the Broker and
Dealer who will be investing Weld County funds, in accordance with the statutory requirements set
forth in Section 24-75-601.1(1),C.R.S.,and in addition to those set forth by Resolution of the Board
of County Commissioners dated March 29, 2007, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it in
the best interest of Weld County to designate the following broker/dealer for investment of the
funds of Weld County:

Sterne Agee & Leach, Inc. Alan R. Schnall
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the above and foregoing broker/dealer be, and hereby is, designated to
handle the investment transactions forthe funds of Weld County,as instructed by the Weld County
Treasurer.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 11th day of April, A.D., 2007.
