The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, July 18, 2007, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner David E. Long, Chair
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner William F. Garcia
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jennifer VanEgdom
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
MINUTES: Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services
meeting of July 16, 2007, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried
unanimously.
WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval
by the Board in the amount of $28,198.63. Commissioner Garcia moved to approve the warrants as
presented by Mr.Warden. Commissioner Rademacher seconded the motion,which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER LEASE FOR OFFICE SPACE IN SOCIAL SERVICES BUILDING AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR
TO SIGN - MULTI-DISCIPLINARY YOUTH ASSESSMENT TEAM (MYAT): Judy Griego, Director,
Department of Social Services, read the names of the contractors which comprise the MYAT team, and
stated the term of the lease agreement is July 1,2007,through June 30,2008. She stated the Department
will provide office space in the Greeley, Del Camino, and Fort Lupton office buildings. She further stated
the Department will not charge rent and will provide appropriate accommodations. Commissioner Masden
moved to approve said lease and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Jerke, the
motion carried unanimously.

CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICESANDAUTHORIZECHAIRTO SIGN-
NORTH RANGE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: Ms. Griego stated the term of the agreement is June 1, 2007,
through May 31, 2008, and the source of funding for the agreement is the enhanced portion of the Core
Services funding. She stated North Range Behavioral Health will provide Multi-Systemic Therapy services
for families within their homes as an alternative to residential care, as required by national models and
standards. She further stated North Range will be reimbursed at a rate of$1,590.00 per month, per family,
at a maximum reimbursement level of $204,640.00. In response to Chair Long, Ms. Griego stated
residential care is currently provided for approximately 50 clients identified as youth in conflict and
dependency and neglect cases, and three years ago the residential rates were as high as 100 clients.
Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chairto sign. Seconded
by Commissioner Garcia, the motion carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by
the Acting Clerk to the Board.
There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
