RE: DECLARE SOILTEST DENSITY GAUGE AS SURPLUS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter , is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Weld County Engineering Department has informed
the Board of County Commissioners that a new nuclear moisture
density gauge has been purchased and the Soiltest density gauge,
model NIC-5 (DT) , Serial Number 77C004 is no longer needed, and
WHEREAS , the Board deems it advisable to declare said
Soiltest density gauge surplus , and
WHEREAS , the Board further deems it advisable that said
equipment be removed from the Weld County Inventory.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Soiltest density
gauge , Model NIC-5 (DT) , Serial Number 77C004 be, and hereby is,
declared surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said equipment,
Inventory Number 2390018 , be removed from the Weld County
Inventory.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of
October, A.D. , 1984 .

Subject: "Soil test" Density Gauge
We have purchased a new nuclear moisture density gauge and need
to dispose of the old "Soiltest" density gauge. Because the
gauge contains hazardous materials, we cannot store the equipment
and must hire a licensed hazardous waste disposal firm to dispose of
the old gauge.
We request that the "Soiltest" gauge Model NIC-5(DT) , Serial No. 77C004
and Weld County Inventory No. 2390018, be declared surplus.
